Sports have played a leading role in my life for as long as I’ve been able to work. Growing up in South Africa we were placed on sports fields as soon as possible. Growing up I played a variety of different sports, 12 different sports to be precise but my number one love was rowing and to a large extent rugby.
I rowed throughout school and university and competed at the highest level in South Africa. The end of my rowing career marked the beginning of my CrossFit one and again I competed at this at the highest level. It is also where I began coaching and working with athletes and that is a passion that has systematically grown over the last 12 years. This, over time led me to strength and conditioning which is where I find myself now.
I carry my passion in teaching and in the sharing of my knowledge. The thing that brings me the most energy in my work is when I get to work with athletes or programmes that are as excited as I am about growth and development. More than that I love strength training and Olympic weightlifting and have a lot to offer in that regard. My ambition lies in self and professional development.
Outside of work I love many things. I am very passionate about photography as a hobby but can also often be found photographing for Pacq. I am obsessed with finding good food and the first thing I think about every morning is the perfect coffee, so much so that I have a tattoo of it on my arm.
